The MCRmy have been nominated for the best fan community in the 2012 NME Awards. Hooray for us! Be sure to vote here...y'know, 'cause winning is awesome. We're up against Muse, 30 Seconds to Mars (again), and a few others. Vote!!

Edit: Alissa just pointed out that Gerard is also nominated for Hottest Man, and MCR performing with Brian May is nominated for Best Music Moment. Be sure to vote for those too!

Frank recently told Noise11 that MCR's fifth album won't be "just be a collection of songs".
“It’s never going to be ‘Oh, we had these twelve songs so record it real quick and we’ll put them out," he explained. "I don’t think anyone can really do that these days anymore without some sort of thought or vision behind it."

Also, Ray mentioned that the band is in the process of building their own recording studio.
"Back in L.A. we just got a studio so we’re kind of building that out and basically trying to make a compound where we can be creative and be there whenever we want to be,” Ray told Noise11. “That’s the tough thing doing records in a cycle and you have three or four months where you have to write and record a record and sometimes that’s tough. You can take longer, but you always feel like there’s something over your head like a time constraint and now we’ll have our own place where we can go and make music 24 hours a day. It’s gonna be great!”
Noise11 also said that they will be posting a video interview this week. Click here to read the full article.
So perhaps we can expect a new album out this year?

A live version of MCR's Bob Dylan cover, "Desolation Row" is on the compilation album "Chimes of Freedom: The Songs of Bob Dylan Honoring 50 Years of Amnesty International." My Chem first recorded a studio version of Desolation Row back in 2009 for The Watchmen soundtrack.
A few other bands/musicians included on the album are: Rise Against, Silversun Pickups, and Adele. You can stream all the songs on Amnesty International's Facebook page, or buy the album at Amazon.com.

The official video for The Kids From Yesterday has been released. This is the last video that will be released from Danger Days, so I guess the Killjoy storyline won't be continued. The video, to quote Frank is "footage [that the band collected] and [the band] literally stumbled upon an incredible video done by a talented young lady named Emily Eisemann. She had made a fan video, put it up on YouTube and it summed up what we had been trying so very hard to make, perfectly. So we gave her a call, put our videos together, and the rest, as they say, is history."
I think the video is really cool, having clips of the band spanning from now to the Three Cheers Era. You can watch the music video here:

So what do you guys think of it?
